Equal Rights & Opportunities
Since the presidency of Abraham Lincoln, American citizens, regardless of race, color or creed have had equal access to the resources of the country and the freedom to pursue their dreams. Dr. Martin Luther King lead the movement that cemented this freedom and Americans are all granted equal opportunity to achiever personal success.
Conservatives hold dearly the belief that equal opportunity does not equal equal outcomes. It is up to the individual to achieve his or her own personal success, with assistance from their fellow citizens in the form of government programs to improve their access to education, business funding and housing, but not to insure the outcome of their actions.
Look for conservative leaders who continue to strive for the equity in opportunity for you as an American citizen, regardless of your race, color or religion.
