“Now, more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature… If the next centennial does not find us a great nation, it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.”
- James A. Garfield, 20th President of the United States
We are responsible for electing great leaders - leaders who will always stand up for what is right and serve the people of this state. I firmly believe that Dave is that person...he has sacrificed so much for this race because he recognizes the danger that our country is in and he refuses to sit back and watch it happen. Dave’s strong sense of patriotism and commitment to serving his country whether it be at West Point, in the Army or during this Senate race is admirable and inspiring.
We cannot allow career politicians or those who are going to spend millions of dollars just to get into office make decisions for us anymore. Neither of these understand the issues facing the 99% of us Wisconsinites who work hard everyday just to pay our bills and feed our families. Dave understands the struggles of everyday Americans - he lives them. But he also has something unique - optimism for the future of this country and a desire to preserve the American Dream.
This campaign is unlike anything the state has seen before. Many candidates claim to be running grassroots campaigns but we really, truly are in every sense of the word. Our primary opponent has said he’s willing to invest $15 million to self-finance his campaign and we’ve seen evidence of that in his television ads. Click here to view the clear differences between Dave and Ron Johnson. While money is not our main focus, it is absolutely vital that we get Dave’s name out there to the people that we have been unable to meet face-to-face.
We have a fundraising goal of $15,000 by August 7th. This money will be used to purchase television and radio ads, as well as yard signs to allow us to get a lot of “blaze orange” visibility all across the state.
Please consider contributing to these efforts - now is the time to elect people with character and integrity to represent us in Washington. Will you help Dave with a contribution of $20, $50, $100, $200 or more?
Help us push forward and continue to change the face of politics - with your help we will win the primary on September 14th.
We sincerely appreciate your dedication and support!
