Press Release: Neumann Raises $1.96 Million in 2010

NEUMANN RAISES $1.96 MILLION IN 2010

Campaign nearly quadruples donor base; has $1.05 million cash on hand 96 percent of donors from Wisconsin; 85 percent of donations are $99 or less

WAUKESHA, Wis. - July 20, 2010 - The Mark Neumann for Governor campaign announced today that it raised $1.96 million in the six-month reporting period that ended June 30, and is reporting $1.05 million cash on hand in documents filed today with the state Government Accountability Board.

"I am particularly pleased that 96 percent of our donors are from Wisconsin, and 85 percent of those donations were in small amounts of $99 or less," Neumann said. "Ours is a grassroots campaign fighting for folks on Main Streets all over Wisconsin, and rejecting the political insiders who don't have the will to fix a broken system of government they helped create."

Campaign manager Chip Englander said that with the campaign now in the closing weeks, Neumann is well-positioned with the resources needed to win the primary and defeat Tom Barrett in November. Englander noted that just last week, a poll from the University of Wisconsin has Neumann defeating Barrett by 24 points.

"In the coming weeks, Mark's campaign will continue to connect with folks in every corner of the state, spreading the message that what Wisconsin needs now are his common-sense, conservative solutions to lower taxes, balance the budget, cut wasteful spending and start bringing jobs back to Wisconsin," Englander said.
