A Blessed Memorial Day To All
“You all knew that some things are worth dying for. One's country is worth dying for, and democracy is worth dying for, because it's the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man. All of you loved liberty. All of you were willing to fight tyranny, and you knew the people of your countries were behind you.”
--President Ronald Reagan
Pointe de Hoc Speech, June 6th, 1944
Honoring. Remembering. Thanking.
This is Memorial Day weekend, 2010--the "unofficial start to summer." But it's also the official day for Americans to remember the sacrifices and losses of those who have gone before us to preserve liberty and freedom. Please, as you're out and about this weekend with friends and family, remember the reason we take an extra day off this weekend...and fly an American flag, thank a Veteran, and tell your kids about those who have died to make this an exceptional country.
Duty. Honor. Country.
