Today, the Republican Party of Wisconsin is launching a new web site to give taxpayers an opportunity to help stop Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett’s snowballing record of tax increases in its tracks.
Tom Barrett has raised taxes by millions of dollars as Mayor, as a member of theLegislature, and as a Member of Congress. Wisconsin residents simply cannot afford any more job-killing tax increases, and taking action at TomTheTaxer.comwill provide a way for concerned citizens to stop Tom the Taxer, who is Jim Doyle and President Obama’s hand-picked successor to carry out the tax and spend policies of the liberal left.
Barrett has raised taxes and fees in every budget he’s introduced since becoming mayor, including 2009’s 4.4% hike in the depths of a recession.
Name the tax—sales, gas, property, income—Tom the Taxer has voted to hike it. Wisconsin families and businesses can not afford the policies of Tom the Taxer as he attempts to carry out Jim Doyle’s third term.
Citizens and taxpayers who want to get involved in the fight to stop Tom the Taxer can visitwww.TomtheTaxer.com; follow on Twitter at http://twitter.com/tomthetaxer; or become a fan of the group “Stop Tom the Taxer” on Facebook.
Let’s make Wisconsin a RedState in 2010 by Stopping Tom the Taxer! We’ll send a message to Democrats across the nation that we won’t stand for their big taxing, big spending policies any more.
