Press Release: Neumann Campaign Unveils TV Ad #4

NEUMANN CAMPAIGN UNVEILS TV AD #4

'Kicked Off' details Neumann’s fight for balanced budgets, lower taxes

Neumann TV campaign now begins 2nd month

Spot starts airing this week across Wisconsin

WAUKESHA, Wis. - March 23, 2010 - In the fourth television ad from Mark Neumann, the candidate for Governor discusses his record in Congress in the 1990s, taking principled stands against the leadership of his own party in the fight to balance budgets and lower taxes. The new ad begins airing across Wisconsin tomorrow.

“In 1994, I left my small business to serve in Congress on a platform of less spending and lower taxes,” Neumann says in the latest ad. “I fought to cut spending so hard, the leaders of my own party kicked me off the Appropriations Committee . . . When I left in 1998, the budget was balanced, taxes were cut and jobs were being created. Those same conservative solutions . . . they’ll solve Wisconsin’s problems today.”

Neumann campaign manager Chip Englander says the TV and radio ad campaign, which is now in its second month, has spurred an ongoing surge in momentum across Wisconsin.

“As Mark Neumann gets his record out there and discusses his core beliefs - balanced budgeting, cutting wasteful spending and reducing taxes - folks move quickly to support him,” Englander noted. “Mark takes principled stands. People recognize his passion and commitment are genuine. He doesn’t just ‘talk the talk’ like career politicians, he walks the walk and his time in Congress is proof.”

Englander noted evidence of Neumann’s momentum can also be found in two recent independent polls. The most recent Rasmussen poll shows Neumann defeating his Democrat opponent Tom Barrett in the general election, while a WPRI survey shows Neumann defeating his primary opponent Scott Walker everywhere except inside Milwaukee.
