"For some time, I've had a growing conviction that congress is not operating as it should. There is much too much partisanship and not enough progress. Too much narrow ideology and not enough practical problem solving. Even at a time of enormous national challenge, the people's business is not getting done."
And Sen. Bayh didn't stop there. The very next day in an interview with CBS News, Bayh said:
"If I could create one job in the private sector by helping to grow a business, that would be one more than Congress has created in the last six months."
It was the classic Washington scandal – a politician told the truth. Take a moment to watch our latest video connecting Bayh's Bombshell to Sen. Russ Feingold's 18 years missing in action on job creation.
More than one year since Feingold voted for the $787 billion so-called 'stimulus' bill, America is still waiting for the jobs. We were told that it was necessary to keep unemployment from going above 8%. Now after 12 consecutive months of unemployment above 8%, we know that the stimulus bill was a failure.
Worse, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has run a series of investigative reports detailing cases of double counting jobs created by the stimulus, shoddy workmanship on stimulus projects, job reports rife with errors, and how the White House has actually stopped trying to keep track of jobs created.
The career politicians in Washington created this mess. Reelecting them is only going to mean more of the same. Please consider donating $10 today to my campaign. I'm an entrepreneur and small business owner, not a career politician. I'm eager to put my 20-year record of job creation to work on behalf of all Wisconsinites.
Let's get working!
